Crying, Hair and BOOBS

My fan, I wish I could put an 's' on the end of that, but I truthfully can't. Anyway my fan pointed out that I'm always late on reporting the big story. First I missed the crying girl, then I missed Sanjaya's hair. I will try to do better. I think the big story this week is the boobs. I will get back to the boobs in a minute. First the performances.

Blake started the show and showed that maybe the boys do have a chance. I've heard this song in a karoke bar, sang by a slightly drunk former cousin in law, but to be truthful Blake did a better job.

OK, Phil... I've said this every year and obviously the performers are not reading my blog. Pay attention readers, if you have any plans to be on IDOL, reread all my postings and follow my advice. When you sing a song, you are telling a story. And its your job to keep us interested. Phil got every note right, he has a good voice. But there was no emotion. It was BORING. Some people can tell a joke and its very funny. Someone else can tell the same joke and its not funny and very often folks don't get it. Sorry Phil I just don't get it.

Melinda's got rhythm. In fact there's not much ever to say about her. Hopefully she will be gone soon.

Chris had his best night ever. The outfit, the song and his showmanship moved him up a couple notches.

Jordan was just average tonight. She looked good and sounded good, but I wasn't very impressed.

Gina one of my favorites was kind of disappointing. She ended up telling the same joke that Phil did and I still don't get it.

Sanjaya, Sanjaya, Sanjaya, He looked better and sounded passable. I guess all the publicity, being lampooned on Saturday Night Live, being the butt of jokes on Letterman and Leno, and actually having a whole episode of Larry King Live devoted to him has not gone to his head. Whoever wins, Sanjaya will probably end up being the biggest star of them all.

Haley, and you thought I forgot all about the boobs. Her song "Ain't Misbehavin" was appropriate if not a lie. She must think the competition is getting hot because she's getting hot. I don't mean her singing ability. I mean her boobs hanging out, and her skirts getting shorter. Each week we are blessed with seeing a bit more. If she hangs on a couple more weeks, we may have to get the manual out for our TV's and figure out how to engage our V-Chips.

Lakisha, was more than stormy weather, She was a hurrican, a tornado and a tsunami. Very nice way to end the show.

I hope my fan is satisfied. I may not get the whiney kid, or the weird hairdo, but boobs hanging out gets my attention every time.

My favorites this week:
This weeks order and my choices at the beginning of the year.
1. Melinda 1
2. Lakisha 2
3. Chris 9
4. Blake 6
5. Jordan 4
6. Gina 5

Hey Rick.....don't you proof read these things before you post them.....or should I just ask WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? You state heere regarding Melinda: "Hopefully she will be gone soon"....'there's not much ever to say about her'.....yet you rate her as #1???? Kind of takes the validity away from the entire Blog.....Simon would have you for lunch!

Hi All - Hey Rick, I don't understand the "fan" instead of "fans" thing.... don't you know that there are lots of people who can't wait to get on their computer on Wednesday morning to see what you have writte old "Wise One"!! I'm serious, I really enjoy reading your "Wise Words", even though I disagree with at least 80% of your comments this week.

First of all, I totally agree about Blake - I really enjoyed his performance last night, but have enjoyed his performances since the start. However, one thing about Blake, I do like his hair spiked, but not the "duck tail on top spike" - I like it when it is spiked all over... oh well, only my opinion.

OK Phil - I agree 100% that is was just dull - he is a good singer, but no pizazz!!

Melinda's performance was really good last night, but didn't give me goose bumps like some of her other performances.

Chis - I know the judges liked his performance last night and so did my husband, but it did nothing for me.

Jordan - Yes, Yes, Yes, I loved her performance last night - great voice and she is a good entertainer too.

Gina - I really enjoyed Gina's performance last night and her dress was perfect for her.

Sanjaya -- well what can I say ---- incredible? NOT..... cough, choke, choke - he really has to go.

Haley -- NOT -- I think she has a beautiful voice, but she seems to be trying too hard. Yes, the BOOBS were a distraction.

Lakisha - to me it was not one of her better performances....again the judges loved her and so did my hubby, but last night just didn't do it for me.

OK - let's see... my choices for this week.

#1 - Jordan
#2 - Blake
#3 - Melinda
#4 - Gina
#5 - Lakisha
#6 - Phil
#7 - Chris
#8 - Haley
#9 - Sanjaya

Heh - great job Rick -- keep up the blogging - love it.

Sanjaya was the best last night by FAR!!

Oh, wait, April fools was 3 days ago, sorry.

I thought Lakisha looked like a movie star and her performance was outstanding!

Phil is going home. He just didn't pull through last night.

Everyone is did well and there were no serious tragedies for me last night.

Rick, I am a HUGE fan, so know you have more than one!!

I am cracking up over the growing support for Sanjaya nationwide. Check out the video I posted on my blog, it cracks me up. http://blog.myspace.com/rikpie
